Because to the government's Bayanihan 2 law, Globe was able to speed up development in more underprivileged areas. “Obtaining these permits has always been a struggle in the past, but with more LGUs now appreciating the value of connectivity in improving their constituent services and the national government's call to further streamline the permitting process, we have received more permits than in prior years.” These permissions will allow us to provide better services to a larger number of clients who rely on reliable connectivity to meet their daily needs,” said Joel Agustin, SVP of Globe's Program Delivery Network Technical Group.
In Northern Luzon, Globe received 395 licences, while LGUs in Visayas and Metro Manila (including Rizal) gave 314 and 312 permits, respectively.
Metro Manila, Cebu, Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan, and Bulacan were the top five provinces with the most permits, while 14 others issued at least 20.
Makati City issued the most permits (67), followed by Davao City (55) and Quezon City (50). (53). There were 10 or more permits issued by 22 other cities and municipalities.
“With these permissions, we will be able to keep moving forward with the installation of more cell towers in critical places across the provinces. The additional installations will also help to decongest our network, which will benefit our customers' call, SMS, and data browsing services,” Agustin added.
